Seems a response to the OW "sale" from AMS and PAR

And it's only about 2 weeks since the last ST MAD-USA sale...I almost bought ORD at around €1500 then....glad I waited a few weeks

looking at 3 weeks in December, over Christmas - any west coast location will do. Will ultimately end up in SLC to ski... but have to reposition from AMS

someone should knock some sense into me.

I already have tickets in Economy from AMS to LAX for a good price for the days I want. It is only I no longer want to fly in Economy!

The tickets are in a non upgradeable fare, I think I would be happy to if at least I had the return leg in an upgradeable fare...

Just sitting here thinking I should get over my first world 'problem'.

I booked.

17 Dec MAD-SLC (overnight in Amsterdam, in my own home)

9 Jan SFO-MAD (stop over in Amsterdam)

for 3 people, 1500 EUR per person. Not the viking deal of earlier this year, but it gets to SLC where I can quickly hit the slopes. That's worth something to me.

Skyteam (KL/DL/AF) now matching from the UK (LHR anyway) to some US destinations - ORD always being the main target apparently!

Open Jaw on OneWorld brings the price down a little (to $1116 rtn) for NYC itineraries.

FCO-NYC / NYC-CDG

(SEA = $1224)

In case someone needs it!
