Best price I can find is €1150, ending the trip in ZHR.

Anybody tips for getting best cabin use? I now see a A330 from AA and back on the BA 777.
I found 987 flying out of ZRH and returning to MUC - my home airport is Schiphol as well.

Easy to find a flight with BA1 and easy to combine with this without switching airports, since BA flies ZRH-LCY directly.

Say you're trying to book ZRH-ORD. In ITA matrix under advanced routing codes, just type in BA BA1 AA

This corresponds to your 3 segments: BA (ZRH-LCY), BA (LCY-SNN-JFK), and AA (JFK or LGA to ORD).

Now I'm booking this for sure

Given that most of the open dates are in February+, where to go in Europe when it's so cold?! Any places in southern Portugal maybe? or even Tangiers/Morocco?

I've heard that Cyprus is relatively warm, too. But you might want to doublecheck that.

Or you could go to the Azores or so.

As well as LCY-JFK in A318.

I just canceled yesterday's booking and booked this itinerary instead:

TXL-LHR-(787)-YUL-PHL-(First)-CLT-(First)-BOS-MAD-TXL

Should earn me some TP.

How many in total?

I'm a BAEC Silver member and the Avios calculator says 18,667 avios in total (without the 3x bonus) as well as 480 TP.

nice to see 930 EUR fares to the US from mainland Europe, especially Switzerland. Very tempting to book a few for family to visit

Unfortunately while BAEC status impacts the size of the 3x bonus (redeemable avios earned), the earned avios do not impact status. There are no bonus Tier Points ("TP"s, which dictate status) earned in these promotions.

I am missing something. What is that 3x bonus about? Is this a promotion?
