Although Matrix prices this at C$944.31, I can't actually get Google flights to find it... fairly new to booking MRs, so any thoughts as how to actually book this?

you try multicity to break them out as much as possible? Kayak is another option using their multicity.

I put it in multicity on AA.com and it came up with ~US$800. I didn't try to book.

This is what I'm trying to book, and no amount of forcing AA.com or Google Flights so far will allow me to book it at this price (AA.com has a hard time finding it and then wants $2000 for it, and Google Flights says it's ~$1200). Is it a case of Matrix incorrectly caching an old price?

Take a look at the fares (below what you screenshotted) that ITA is showing, and then when AA.com shows $2k, look at those fares via the link.

I'm guessing there's either some married segment logic going on, or different fare codes being available.

It looks like it prices out alright on Cheapoair and Priceline via the ITA userscript/powertools/whatevertheyarecalled. No idea if it will let you book it though.

Looks like a couple of segments are different than what was listed on initial post--i got $914 on the AA site, but not getting the $800 noted on other posts...will try other sites.
try using the select by using the show results by schedule (I use the 50 option to see a lot of combinations) instead of the Price & Schedule.....

I can get the original post flights to show on AA.com either by multi-city or via google flights, problem is it doesn't come in at the C$944 (~$702) price. Yet Matrix keeps showing that price for multiple dates... Orbitz shows it at US$862 (not terrible, but I want the Matrix price!)

So far the matrix plugin hasn't helped in finding the price on other sites

I can match the Matrix price for the flights in the OP. And matrix plugin/powertools takes me to Orbitz with matching details. I haven't tried to book it though, so it may change once you do that... Good luck!

I can get to the same Orbitz booking page, but US$864 is way more than C$944... Should be more like US$702
