UA YVR-CTU $2020 rt P fare

To get the $2020 fare, you cannot route via Japan. Doing so will add a hefty surcharge. Must go via SFO-CTU nonstop on UA.
YVR-DEN-SFO-CTU yields ~13.5k PQM each way.
must fly by the end of the year.
P fare
Great deal for Asia biz fare ex-US. Book before the bloodsucking bloggers get to it!

great find, too bad it needs to be flown by the end of the year, makes it not feasible for me. Would be perfect if this was possible next year

this will net ~26.9k status miles on UA/AC from the looks of it, so like 7.5cpm for a biz-fare, that's awesome.

YVR is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Although we tried to include it in Washington a number of years ago ("54 40 or fight!"), it is not in any of the 50 states.

Great find! CTU seems to be getting a lot of capacity with very little demand, so I'd expect the ex-EU pricing to gradually move into NA as well.

Excellent find! Just booked my trip - didn't need to do the DEN dog-leg each way to re-qualify this year, but I did managed to get CTU-SFO-YYC-YVR on my return, for $2,618 CAD (~$1,991 USD), end of November, for a 5-night stay.

Now, I just need to book flights from CTU to PVG to get to my usual spots for markets and suits - unless CTU has similar markets?

CTU is the main hub city in the Western China. Always wanted to go there, but never had a chance. Maybe this is gonna be one.

Almost every route. YVR-PVG was consistantly around CA$2600 RT for the past few months(DL Metal via SEA). However they raised their price after Canadian inflation went crazy. I was able to fly nonstop YVR-PVG for CA$3300 last year RT, and CA$3500=US$2700 MXP with one stopover RT this year.

CTU has a large demand for non-premium cabins.

Often.. there's an entire thread about Canadian J fares vs. US J fares..

YVR-CTU via SFO has lived around $2.1k this year. At one point I had played with it, but you've still gotta get up there, just to turn around and head back down to SFO early in the AM to catch UA9 to CTU.

OP, I'm not sure the bloggers will go crazy over a $2k fare.. It's insane value for us.. buuuut not for "most normal people".

Does the new site re-price based on a US address? Did anyone who booked this use the Great Dane trick as Canadians? Just curious.

I routed via LAX with an overnight there before heading to SFO-CTU. It came up fine in ITA but I could not get it to price on united.com so I called a 1K agent and she built the whole thing over the phone for me, no problem.

Came out as $1991.70 USD.

Tell that to everyone who benefited from the ex-CMB fares until the bloodsucking blogs got on board.
