How fast are you through security?
As I'm essentially a professional traveler, I spend a lot of time going through TSA security lines and have perfected the orientation and order of my shoes, bags, laptop, etc. on the x-ray belt so that I can gather my things quickly and be on my way.
I decided to time myself the other day as I grabbed my stuff on the other side of the belt. I always travel with a rollaboard, laptop bag & laptop, Ziplock bag for liquids and usually wear slip-on dress shoes (my airport security shoes).
The time between grabbing my first item to walking away from the security area with everything in place took me 18 seconds.
Anyone else take pride in the speed of which they get through security? Time yourself and let me know your ability...I'm looking for a showdown.

I am a pro too
I usually get through security in 30 seconds to a minute not counting the 5 minute line. My secrete is that in line I untie my shoes, put my wallet and other items in my bag and have my ID and passport ready. I put everything into the bin and off I go.
I just walk through looking straight ahead and then I put my shoes and items back into my pockets.
I have not been stopped for the past 5 years when the TSA started random searches.

Hello everyone,
Here, what gets you through faster is not to bring any crap with you no carry ones,no purse and wear slippers instead of shoes.realistically, just carry only what you need. Purse should only contain your vital belongings, a light sweater that can be taken on and off quickly, and pack a pair of shoes that you can switch to after you go through the security check point with slippers on.

I am normally under a minute type of person. I am prepared and do nothing to raise any suspicion.

I want to spend the least amount of time as possible at the checkpoint, so Im like a member of a pit crew at a NASCAR race.

It takes me well less than a minute to be on my way after I get through the WTMD. I have a specific order: rollaboard goes first, followed by laptop bag, laptop, then purse, liquids, etc. Makes it easy on the other end:
Flip up rollaboard, laptop bag goes over handle, laptop into bag, items stuffed back into purse, which then hangs off the handles of the rollaboard. Fast and easy, as long as the agents don't decide to paw through my belongings on the way.
