Carrying on two laptops?

I have to get two laptops from la to pit. im flying out of sna. i dont have time to ship the second laptop. should i pack it carefully and check it, or should i carry it on? will it raise red flags when i go through security with two laptops? will i be "cavity" searched?

has anyone else ever done this? what was tsa's reaction?

thanks

Carry it on. You'll have no issues. Just remember to remove them both and put each into its own tub at the security belts.

You can check in the laptop but TSA will open your bag to check the laptop.

Notwithstanding the comments about TSA and/or breakage - remember to check your CoC with the airline. Most airlines either specifically prohibit laptops in checked baggage or specifically exempt themselves from liability for any electronics placed in the hold.

I've carried two laptops several times. No problems. But I do place both of them on the same carryon bag and as someone else has said, be sure to take both of them out at the x-rays.

I carry two laptops every week (mine and client's). No problem at all. Just remember to take both out when going through the security.

We don't want happening from TSA is not taking own liability responsible for lost or stolen the laptop. It will have to hide it while the CTX Machines will not to have alarmed. If you case any to take the laptop with you to security checkpoint. TSA will keep eyeing on it from TSO behaviors to lookout security surveillance camera. I knows ramp workers are not good timer for taking away the laptop out of the bags. You have to kept locked the bags and next time if you ever see TSA is being screened the bags into CTX machines.

I knows too many problems from TSA behavioral are not appreciate it for stolen the personal items out of bags. The LEO will eventually to be arrested as charge of theft. This is first-degrees misdemeanor charges. They could be banned for trying to get work at airports for a long time.

Never, ever, check a laptop.

Never, ever, check a laptop that you want to actually arrive at your destination intact.

If you have a dead and worthless one, it's a good way to punk some would-be-thief and get rid of some old junk (see also: P-p-p-powerbook) if you're lucky. If unlucky, it's a good way to pad out your checked-bag weight til it's close to the full free limit.

I also routinely travel with 2 laptops, and it's never been a problem.

As stated, no big deal. Just make sure they're each in their own bins for the x-ray.
