Hope this is the right section.
I was wondering if anyone can help me out here.I havent been able to get an answer for this question.
In filling out the Passport Application it asks for Fathers and Mothers Place of birth.Do they want city and state or just one of them.
To be honest my father and I didnt have much of a relationship for 30 years and the last time I saw him was at his funeral.
From what understand most of his side of the family are deceased and I wouldnt even know where to find them anyway.
All my mother knows is that he was born in Long Island,NY but she doesnt now what city.
So I'm kinda stuck on what to put.
Thanks for your help.

FATHER: "UNKNOWN"
MOTHER: "NEW YORK, USA"
Actually, you can put "UNKNOWN" for any and all information for either or both parents as there are plenty of people who don't have/know such information.
