And if you're a foreign traveler, put them in a folder named "Porn", or perhaps something implying an illegal version of such.

how would it be terrorism that would be a real far stretch to prosecute, as the screener who is not a LEO and has no powers would have to do some major explaining why they were looking at what was on peoples CDs or HDD as thats way outside of there scope of practice.
as for the program(s) .... yes they do exist and that would be hilarious as that would CF a system

I just had a thought here:
While things like a virus on the machine aren't kosher but for those who have access to some server they control, how about a program that phones home and sends what info it can about the machine it was run on.
Send the info to the police: "A CD was stolen from my luggage. Here's info on the thief." Sort of like Lojack for Laptops except it's just the CD doing it.

Actually, you don't have to put a virus on the disc. You just have to add a bullet item to the list shown in the AVI:
A virus they can't find is much more effective than one that may trigger a virus checker, preventing them from browsing the CD and viewing the AVI.
- Your system is now infected with a virus

Interesting thread.
I think I'll try the CD thing and put some of the interesting surgical and medical photos that I have. That'll freak em out a bit

I'm an aging Baby Boomer not all that slick with 21st Century IT. Thanks for all the suggestions about .avi files and a fake virus.
Guess I'll have to come out with "Fake Porn 2.0"

Well just two, actually.
One is really only a looker after about nine beers.
The other is imaginary.
So...
Seriously, I love the CD thing. I am SO doing that the next time I check a bag, which is not very often.
