Do bottle tops set off scanner

Not that I would ever do such a thing, but do those bottle-tops on bottles of Budweiser that I might forget to take out of my pockets when I leave home for the airport, set off the metal detectors?
A 3 ounce beer might be good enough for the Chardonnay and croissant crowd, but its a bit short for me

I'd pay the $5, but its $8.50 at the airport, and I have a conscience even though they don't

Is that a bottle of Bud in your pant pocket, or are you just happy to see your friendly neighborhood TSA agent?

Keep in mind that jackets (and thus, anything stuffed in pockets of said jackets) have to come off and go through the x-ray. So if you happen to forget something in your pant pockets - it might be pretty obvious as you go through.

According to an article in The Atlantic, a Beerbelly may work for you.
