Canadian security vs TSA
I am a US citizen planning to travel YYZ to BGI in November. In what ways does the Canadian Security system conform to and differ from the US TSA? Will I have to undress, may I carry 4oz of pepsi, will my laptop be disassembled?
How has the economic upheaval affected the US dollar internationally? Can I now buy more outside the Us with a dollar or less?

You do NOT show ID to the screeners, by law they are prohibited from asking. The airline will require it at boarding (and check-in unless you use the self-serve kiosks).
Anywhere but YYZ, I would expect the experience to be relatively benign. Can be there too though.

YYZ was a lot less stressful than any other airport in the US. There was the baggie carnival, but it didn't seem to be terribly enforced ... never removed my Kippie bag from the bag. No shoe carnival which was a big ^.

At YYZ, expect to remove shoes, laptop and partake in the liquids nonsense if flying to the US. FWIU, you do not need to take off shoes or remove laptops if flying domestically within Canada.
Many of the YYZ screeners are not native english speakers (which I've used to my advantage when they tried doing gate secondaries), but they are far less obnoxious than their TSA counterparts.
Because the 'line' is held up by US immigration/customs pre-clearance, there is generally little-to-no delay getting through the screening checkpoint itself.

Are you referring to domestic flights? The US-bound flights have the full treatment, minus the barkers. ITA that they don't care about removal of the Freedom Baggies.

I have a TSA approved laptop case which allows me to go through security in the U.S. without having to remove the laptop. Does Canadian security (at YYZ) allow the same or will I be required to remove it?
