TSA opening checked suitcase question

Is TSA still putting in that sheet of paper into checked suitcases when they open them up for inspection? On the last few trips I know my suitcase has been opened but found no paper notice inside. Just wondered if TSA is still doing that or is someone else going through the checked suitcases.

They're supposed to. Whether they do or "forget" is another story.

Sometimes they may put "inspected" tape on it. I checked a box on my last trip and it has that all over it. Haven't opened it to see if there's a love note in there, but it's not a big deal if it's not as I know they were in there.

Got the pamphlet advising of the search from ANC-LAS via SEA a couple weekends ago. I packed one of thos high tech electronic Toto brand Japanese toilet seats complete with heated seat, bidet and blow dry (it was my brother's who passed away and I am slowly by surely bringing back his belongs to my house in LAS to either give away, sell or put on ebay. Very neatly repacked with the other items so i will give them credit for that. I guess the neatness with repacking depends on who is doing it.

Pretty much all of our bags got inspected by TSA from KOA-SFO a couple of weeks ago, with notes to that effect.

I wish I can be as lucky as you are. For the last 6-7 trips, at least one of my luggages out of SFO was searched and they all ended up very messy...Maybe my packing strategy is too complicated to repack

Remember that all bag handling thieves in MIA, SFO, JFK, FCO, GRU..... praised TSA for the "invention" of the TSA lock. So if there is no note inside, it was most likely not the TSA who opened your suitcase.

Next step will be that the thieves will put a TSA fake note into your bags, tahnking you for your "contribution" to make America safer
Travelling often in Asia I have removed my TS locks and replaced them with the old non TSA version. In this region I fear most, that I arrive with more things in suitcase.

Last several times, I did not get a love note from the TSA. The TSA lock I have changes color though when they open it and alerted me to the search.

I'm quite pissed at TSA right now, as my flight on Sunday night had the bag inspected by TSA obviously, no note or anything left, and whomever the idiot searching my bag was, he decided that it was too complicated to unhook the hook holding my garment bag together, so instead he cut the chain and by then figured things out, so just removed it and placed it inside the luggage with the bag...

Is there anything that can be done about this, such as getting my bag that was damaged obviously by them replaced due to their idiot selves?

TSA has pissed me off quite a bit lately... let's work on fixing our economy, and first thing we can do is fire all the TSA idiots, that should save us a few bucks!
