nelson mandela is on the terrorist watch list...
'Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff says "common sense" suggests Mandela should be removed. He says the issue "raises a troubling and difficult debate about what groups are considered terrorists and which are not."'

Old news but not surprising given the rulers of South Africa were staunch western/U.S. allies at that time. Back in the late '80s, the college "Review" editions of right-wing student organisations carried headlines of "HANG NELSON MANDELA" in reaction to the gathering movement to free him and overthrow the white minority government.

I believe a terrorist is defined as "Someone who doesn't agree with the current administration."
