Seems to me you have made statements before about there being no health issues from the floors at checkpoints and, if you've chosen to read the responses to your comments, you would know that there are, indeed, health issues. Find posts from the poster who is an EMT and the links to articles that relate the different bacteria, etc. that have been found on the floors at checkpoints and then come back to us and say there is no health issue. @:-) Gosh darn, it must be tough being perfect. :p |

Oh, he's not in any danger of THAT... |
I have heard mention of people putting on a second pair of old socks over the first pair, then removing and disposing of them after passing through the WTMD.

About 4 cents each? A couple cents more for rubber bands to slip around your ankles to hold them in place? If you're really concerned about germs, there's your solution ... for a quarter or less ... However, if you just want to P&M about the big, bad TSA ... well, carry on, I guess! |

I need to go find that report that said all that was cultured. Funny one is when i sent a email to the blog about it, i never got a response and has been deleted every time i ask. Whats wrong TSA got something to hide:mad:. oneofthosepeopleyouloveto hate - well why should i have to go through all of that when you agency says they will provide booties for me according to signage at checkpoints and online. To bad the health and hygiene standards for checkpoints are atrocious and allow for these type of bacteria to have a environment to live and breed, and endangering the lives of travelers with compromised immune and body systems, which can lead to serious infections, amputations or even septic shock that could end in death. BTW Doober not that it means much but Im a paramedic, two levels above a EMT in training, it goes EMT, EMT Intermediate, then Paramedic (Or EMT-P/EMT-Paramedic depending on who you ask). Basically I know how to use all the cool tools in a ambulance, just a FYI. |

Plastic bags are your friend ... they're for more than just your LGAs! :)

Same thing - I was told to take them off and dispose of them as soon as I cleared WMD, before retrieving my shoes. So now I put on a pair of socks (over my regular socks, if I'm wearing closed shoes). I take them back off after clearing WMD and retrieving my shoes. So, with all due respect, if you just want to P&M about us big, bad travellers (who are just trying to abide by the constantly changing and reinterpreted rules)....well, carry on, I guess! |

You could use PROVEN EXISTING TECHNOLOGIES to screen shoes WHILE THEY'RE STILL ON THE PASSENGER'S FEET!!! Whoa, what a concept! And for ZERO additional cost or health risk to the passengers, to boot! |

Have you tried submitting your info - in whatever the subject du jour is, i.e.: http://www.tsa.gov/blog/2008/04/pass...ngers-got.html and daring them to print it? |
