Security the wrong way...and the right way

I got rebooked from NW to CO yesterday and when I reprinted the CO pass to select my seat I failed to notice my first SSSS on it.

The wrong way:

I get to the checkpoint and am told to go to the first line. I go to the first line and get yelled at to go further into the area blocked by the rope/tape barrier (which I had to move out of the way). I guess from now on ignoring rope/tape barriers is the way to go.

I set off the WTMD due to my belt and was asked "Do you have any metal objects?" about 10 times by the "officer". I ignored him after checking my pockets and went through with no problems. The guy asks me to step over to one side (which is fine with me). "No you need to be closer to me". I tell him I want to keep an eye on my things. "You must stand right here. Do not move from this spot". Alright, fine - I can still see most of my things. Then a woman takes my bags to one of the testing stations with the metal backed table and the stripes on the glass walls. I move to follow and get yelled at again. I tell the new woman "officer" that I can't see my bags. "Yes you can. Don't tell me you can't because I know you can." "But there's a metal barrier in the way." "Just stand there and don't move." After a few seconds I get patted down and sent back to my bags. At this point the woman moves to where I was standing, says "I can see everything just fine from here.", and walks away.

The right way:

A new woman was in charge of inspecting my bags. She asked if I understood what was going on. I told her that I knew what was going on, had no problem, and just wanted to see my bags at all times. She agreed that I should be allowed to see what's going on, mentioned hearing about thefts, and understood why I might be worried. While swabbing and checking my razor, she chatted with me, was courteous, and informed me of everything she was doing. After she re-xrayed my bags (after telling me what she was doing) I asked to speak to her supervisor and let him know that she did a great job (to which he grunted and I left).

This was at EWR T3 checkpoint 3. The WTMD guy was a tallish african american man with short hair. The rude woman was white with blonde hair to just above her shoulders, and the great screener was an african american woman with braided hair - both of medium height.

Anything else I can do anything else that might give negative results to the original two and positive results to the third screener?
