I actually got a reply (sort of) from TSA

I've long made it a point to complain about the airport "security" process from start to finish every time I travel to or in the USA. Almost invariably, I am detained, threatened with arrest and threatened with being forced to miss my flight. TSA agents always call the police over who always demand I identify myself, and who then radio in my details, etc. I always stay calm and refuse to answer any questions, and demand they either find something to charge me with or let me go. They always let me go. Then I follow up by filing a complaint. They have been ignoring these, but for the first time, I have actually gotten a response, requesting more details. Fortunately, I always took the opportunity to carefully record the names and badge numbers of all the TSA agents involved, and to take business cards from all the police officers, while I'm waiting for them to finish their silly security charade. It is far, far too early in the process to be optimistic about any actual results from this effort but interesting that they have apparently decided they can no longer just ignore complaints.
