You are only PARTIALLY correct about my page cite:
  1. That page clearly indicates both checked and carry-on.
  2. Personal care items that happen to be aerosols are permitted in both carry-on and checked baggage. Reference the table in the section marked Makeup, Medication, Personal Items & Special Needs Devices.
  3. Per the Flammable Items section, those aerosols that are not considered personal care items are prohibited in both carry-on and checked baggage.
There are some inconsistencies between the TSA and the FAA. The TSA makes their list appear to be definitive to the traveling public, which is why I, correctly, cited a page that referenced that aerosols are not completely prohibited, in contrast to your post indicating that they are.

Thanks for the replies, I will explain what I was looking for.

Does anyone have a scan of the letter the FAA/TSA send out after they have removed items from your bag.

I lost ours, and would like a copy, can have your details blurred out.

Either email me at cressers at gmail dot com or if there is a link available on the web, that would be fine!!!

Thanks
