I was selected July 31 (first time I'd seen this happen in quite a while) for the special treatment at LEX. But I wasn't the first person in line - must've been three or four. Also, they only gave me the wand wave business, ignoring my carryon.

I'm pretty sure he was just doing what he was told, but common sense has to kick in somewhere.

I offered to save him the trouble and show where my firearm was, but he was insistent. Not feeling like playing anymore, I told him to go get a supervisor. Never saw him again.
Do screeners even have any authority to search FAMs, particularly once they're onboard the plane? I mean, by then, you've shown your credentials several times, and the pilot is aware of your presence, I assume. Stupid TSA.
