Navigating IAH

Question about getting around IAH before departure: Rather than do the bag drop and navigate the security lines at Continental's C terminal, is it faster to do this in the international terminal (E) and then simply walk to the C-gates on the other side of security?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Better yet, go through the B terminal and take the tram to C.

I don't think that it would be any faster. I have seen long lines at E and especially at B. It is nicer to transit through E than the other two however. Your domestic flight might actually leave out of E (as was the case for me just this week), so set a trip alert to let you know.

Depends on when you're leaving...

Early morning, I'd go with E and walk to C. Afternoon, it's a crapshoot either way.

C is a nightmare for check-in but they're working on it. Last couple of times through everything moved pretty well. I'll report more after my trip next week to SFO.
