Sanosuke! 1) As the bags (at least all the ones I have seen) do not have a disclaimer, should I bring suit against the TSA, for creating a dangerous environment and providing unsafe devices? If affirmative I would appreciate the name of your attorney. 2) Of lesser importance, as the child expired are they still considered a passenger or must they go as cargo? |
Here's A New Idea For Plastic Bag Search
So, we have the ruling that the "Kip Hawley Is An Idiot" trick is free speech, right?
So, what else is free speech? (heh heh heh) I'm going to print out some of the most outrageously offensive internet porn and make my own labels for deodorant, shampoo, etc. Toss into plastic bag. Watch the fun ensue. Hey, you were the one who said I had to whip it out and put it in a CLEAR bag. It's my right to use Woman-And-Horse brand shampoo. :) Thoughts? |
IMHO, TSA would be stunned and intellectually bashed by a plastic bag of hammers...

Better yet, bring a whole (unopened) box of quart ziploc baggies. Tell them you are taking them to the poor people who cannot find them in their city, and want to fly - you are their only hope, their only salvation, their only prayer to be able to fly! (voice getting steadily louder and more dramatic)
and add the playing of the Star Spangled Banner in the background while you are saying this. |

:D Just last week I completely zoned out (it was before 6am) at IAH and forgot to take out my plastic bag :o . Screeners didn't notice a thing.

Lately I've been leaving my Freedom Baggie(TM) in my bag with no problem whatsoever ... until yesterday. At DCA they scrambled called code words, etc. until they opened my bag and discovered my baggie. They then proceeded to scold me for leaving it in my bag. When they found another baggie in another one of my bags (I was traveling with my family) they asked to see my first (cleared) bag again. I explained that it had already been cleared. They then asked *specifically* for the baggie. I opened my cleared bag, realized there were two baggies in there (they had obviously missed one), and showed one of them for inspection. What a waste of time and money :td:
Move along, folks, no real security; nothing to see here. I've been leaving my Kip Hawley and Michael Chertoff are Both IDIOTS Baggie in my bag lately, and usually no mention of it. Looks to me like the screeners are finally becoming disillusioned with their cowardly leadership. Big problem when screeners begin ignoring such obvious rules - wonder which other rules they're willing to overlook? One of these days we might find that 43,000 fellow Americans are a little less willing to take away sick children's medicine or unwilling to forcibly "divest" Americans of bottled water in AUGUST, for chrissakes. One can hope. |
I walked through security at IAH with my plastic bag inside my suitcase (B terminal), no one said a word.
At CRW of all places I was reprimanded and told to "next time make sure your plastic baggie is visible"... I replied "you couldn't tell it was a quart size bag on the x-ray?", he just looked at me. Whatever, it was CRW and there were 8 TSA employees for an airport that has maybe 3-4 gates being used at a time. I could hear crickets when I walked through. |

I'd pay good money to watch you try this. Problem is, there's nowhere far enough away for me to stand by and not blow your cover. :D |
The music suggested by doctall41 will drown out your giggling :)
