Comedy Act at Security Line
There was a bit of confusion at PDX security when I arrived this morning. The elite security line was backed up, while the regular line was even worst. The usual boarding pass checker by the entrance was missing. Suddenly, a young man headed to my direction, visibly irritated.
He offered me a greeting and he was equally pleasant to other passengers. He checked my ID and boarding pass, glanced back to the growing lines and shook his head in disgust. "Unbelievable! These guys could not even get their act together. I am so glad I quit this job. I cannot stand it anymore".
He then yelled back towards the TSA officers. Apparently, a lady had been selected for secondary screening and she had been waiting for almost 20 minutes. The officers didn't seem to notice his loud voice.
"This is crazy. These guys are getting paid 15 bucks per hour and they could not even get their act together. Look, only two lines are going and the rest of them are just chatting over there doing nothing". The young man was clearly agitated and I could hear his lamentation again and again to every passenger. "These guys are getting paid 15 bucks, unbelievable!"
I finally made it through after about 20 minutes, which was fine, but I have not expected to see such an act, certainly not at PDX. I don't know about the internal dealings among these TSA officers. Perhaps the young man had legitimate complaints. Nevertheless, it was completely unprofessional but I'm glad he is leaving and moving on.

Hey, I welcome any distractions!
Beautiful women, yelling PAX, PAX being yelled at for no baggie...anything... Makes the line go faster.
