TSA Was Great - no Sarcasm

I've had my share of unhappiness with the TSA of late, but have had some good experiences as well. I broke my ankle a couple of months ago so get special attention going through security.

Yesterday, at IAH, I was unable to get a wheelchair assist so pushed myself to the checkpoint and had a screener I previously had. Not only were they respectful and helpful (I have not had any issues with any of the pat downs I've had) and getting my items back to me easily, but they called again for a wheelchair assist. When they were told that there was no one, one of the TSA suppervisors pushed me to the President's Club.

On the way there, she asked how my experience was and if I had any issues with the process that day. She was very professional and I was very impressed by the whole day.

When I got to the Pclub, the desk agent asked me "Did they just dump you here" - thinking it was a pusher when I told them it was the TSA. They were in amazement that the TSA did that.

So I had to write about a great experience.

Talking Another good day

I had a good experience at BNA this week, traveling home to SEA.

I had a water bottle with 3 - 4 ouces of water in it, needed to take some medications while in flight. Not sure what the rules are today, at this particular checkpoint, and not really wanting to spend another $2.00 on a new water bottle, I asked the TSO.

He smiled at me and said the best thing was to go empty the bottle there (nearby pre-checkpoint restroom) then fill it again over there (water fountain just past security) when I passed through.

I emptied the bottle and returned, where the same TSO smiled and said "Back again, huh?" while he set out three gray bins for my coat, laptop, etc. After I passed through the WTMD, another TSO smiled at me and said "Have a nice day!" Exiting the security area and heading to the water fountain, another TSO smiled and said "Happy holidays. Have a nice flight!"

These little things are so simple and so ordinary, yet they rarely happen. Kudos to those TSA staff at BNA.
