SMF... How bad's it going to be?
OK I got stuck flying into Sacramento, and I have to fly back out later this week.
I have my regulation Freedom Baggie with Factory Labeled "less than 3 oz bottles" of various goops. However.... I also have chapstick in my jacket pocket, hand sanitizer in a hidden pocket of my briefcase, Advil gelcaps, etc. AND of course my briefcase has 2 laptops, a Nintendo DS, 2 external hard drives, and a larger than usual assortment of cables and power supplies.
I've read a lot of less than wonderful stuff about the TSA at SMF. So... How bad is it really going to be? I have a 7am flight.....

Not bad. I fly DFW - SMF at least once a month and have yet to run into any real problems. I dont use a freedom baggie but I do carry two laptops and other assorted gadgets/cables with me in my laptop carry-on and I never get questioned. Then again, this is the AA gate terminal I use so if you use another terminal group YMMV.
