Questionable SSSSituation at LAX T2

Received the SSSS tonight at LAX. I was put in the holding pin, and asked the TSA screener who was conducting the secondary three times to retrieve my bag that had been xrayed. Every time, he said, "You can face your bag the whole time" (during the screening), while it just sat on the rollers. Of course, it's impossible to do this since large groups of people congregate around the retrieval area and block the view. He wouldn't even touch the bag until he was done with me. Is there anything else I could have done (short of summoning a sup) to make sure my bags were under the TSA's control during this process?

You mean after the fact? Sure. The amount of TSA control of your bags is directly proportional to the number of items you found missing or broken.
