Rude TSA experience at PHL

I have not flown in about 2 years, so I don't know how common this is, but I got a rather rude TSA agent at PHL and that just wasn't called for.

I had a carry on luggage, laptop case, and I was wearing a coat. I needed 3 bins (shoes, Laptop, and coat) and I had to get everything into the X ray machine before walking through.

By the time I got through X ray my stuff had already cleared. So here I am putting my shoes on at the 'same time' I am putting my laptop back, and I got a very angry "Keep Moving" warning from the TSA agent shouting directly at me. I wasn't even there for 5 seconds yet.

I was already overstressed and moving as fas as I can, but I am not about to pick up "everything" and re-dress while walking while carrying a $2,000 laptop out of it's case and stil manage to get my luggage.

But for some reason he thought I was just "loitering" or hanging out. I gave him a sharp "going as fast as I can". He gave me a dirty look and headed back.

Is this sort of thing common? They want everything seperated and in their own bins, and your shoes off, and you are expected to just "go" when you pass through an x-ray. It makes me not want to travel for leisure any time soon.

Yes I know EXACTLY what you mean! I have to take the laptop out, shoes off, coat off, empty my pockets, take off my belt and go through the Xray machine but then as soon as I get through I get the "hurry up" look from the TSA agent. I know they are trying to keep the line moving for all of our benefit, but on the other hand, things that I take off dont magically just jump back on my body, it does take a little time. For me, I just grab all my stuff and try to slide out of the way as much as I can while I get everything back to where it was.
