Question Yo, mama

While going through JFK security, my wife was addressed as "Yo, mama" several times by the screener. This was unbelievably offensive, but we decided to let it slide in the interest of getting back home after a looooong day.

I would like to know what the appropriate response should have been to this situation. I am particularly interested in screeners such as Bart chiming in on the appropriate way to handle this specific situation.

How about "I'm not your mama!" Some screeners are so ignorant.

Would the OP please clarify.

Was it "Yo, mama" as in "Excuse me, maternal looking person",

or,

was it "Yo mama" as in "I insult you by invoking a simular insult towards the woman who gave birth to you"

?

Either way a letter to the PANYNJ Chertoff, Bloomberg, Pataki, your congresscritter and the congresscritters who represents JFK, with times dates and location (what JFK terminal) and description of the person using this rude and/or insulting language is in order. Remind the New York officials that there are other airports to use in the "tri-state" area such as HPN, ISP, BDL and even PHL.
