Middle Age Terrorist?
http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/n...a/12811687.htm
A column by a writer at the Philadelphia Inquirer. It seems he's going to draw the ire of the TSA every time he approaches security. Could it be his name?
I'm not the world's most imposing man, so when I was yanked out of line at Philadelphia International Airport Saturday for a special head-to-toe, full-terrorist-alert search, I must confess to mixed emotions.
Part of me was annoyed. I had a flight to catch; what was this all about? Did I look like a terrorist?
Part of me was impressed. The Transportation Safety Administration screeners were professional and courteous - a definite step up from the private security drones they replaced after 9/11, most of whom left the impression they had just been recruited from the Burger King take-out window...

What I do know is this: If the automatic triggers that ensnared me twice in two days also pinpoint would-be terrorists, the hassle and humiliation are all worth it. I'll assume the position without complaint.
But that's a considerable if.
