Laptops have no place on airplanes. Too dangerous.

If you have to have a laptop with you, you shouldn't be allowed to fly. You can drive instead.

Hey, hey, hey!! Just speak for yourself buddy!! Laptops are my best friend while traveling. Especially if it's more than 2 days. Can't do anything without a computer. And I can't imagine anyone lugging around a desktop.

I disagree. Laptops should be banned completely. They're even too dangerous for rail or bus travel. They should be destroyed. Destroyed and forgotten. Like your sense of humor.

It will never have the word "liberty" in its name for me. I cringe every time I hear someone call it that. Blech! Talk about pandering politicians...

It sure brings out the "comedians" - for my sins I was travelling with 2 laptops last week, and I got comments like : "Here's a lady who doesn't travel light!". I wanted to take the second laptop and hit them with it......

And oh, the joys of TWO separate laptop trays....

Actually, at ORD and YUL I was able to put one on top of the other in the same tray. Which got me to thinking... why do we take them out of the case? honestly, the x-ray machine can see through a laptop to see the other laptop, why can't it see through 1.1 mm of nylon?

People often have lots of stuff crammed into their laptop bags. The TSA theory is that they need a totally clear shot of the laptop in order to see that it really is what it looks like. I'm of the opinion that the more they look like they are doing the "safer" the sheeple feel.
