Hey Chris. I'll bring it back on topic. So FliesWay2Much says the TSA screener offers him/her an opp for private screening & then berates said person for offering - ie, 'what do you have to hide'? I question that response in my post, & his/her response is it's in the rules of TSA to provide private screenings.
Ok, then where's the disconnect? For whatever reason they were going to do a secondary screening, they pro-actively offered FliesWay2Much the option of private, s/he gives them a hard time - and then wonders why they might be more skittish (even if it's the rules) in the offering of private in the future to others.
Personally (and speaking only for me) I don't get FliesWay2Much's initial response or what it added to the experience.
And I also realize my responses to things may be different. Goodness knows I've called TSA out on things when I think they're not doing something properly, but by the same token I don't go looking for fights w/ them or try to prove a point.
I want my rights respected, but I'm also not going to throw a hissy fit over perceived injustices that may not exist, etc. Again, my goal is to get on the plane w/ the minimum amount of hassles, whether it's due to the airlines, TSA or fellow passengers (fill in the blank-all can be a pain in the butt).
