Car sear thru security

We are traveling with an 11 month old this Christmas and will be taking her carseat. Has anyone had any problems getting through security with a carseat?

You should not have problems with carrying the car seat. It just needs to go through the x-ray. If the car seat does not fit, then it gets physically searched. That's it! Just make sure to take the kid out first. Have a good flight!

Haahah. I'm sure with hectic travellers, funny (but hopefully not dangerous) things have happened at some point.

I see a lot of travellers with car seats. They get on the plane some how so it should be fine.

It has happened before. Luckily, the baby didn't make it to the main chamber. Only made it past the first set of curtains. The parent placed the seat on the belt instead of the table and the belt was moving while she was taking out her laptop. There's a lot of paperwork involved when that happens. We've had dogs, cats, turtles, and a goldfish come through the x-ray before. Makes for interesting conversation.
