Meet each other?

There may be various govt reasons we can't meet but is there really any reason we can't introduce ourselves at airports etc & say hi? I'd love to meet TSA folk (and others - non TSA & FT included). Cheers all. Just a thought. Sharon...

I've never been told not to talk to passengers. There's no law or reason that I know of besides talking too much and keeping us from out jobs.

The only time that you shouldn't talk to us is when we're in the middle of checking another passenger's person or property or while on the X-ray.

We should all get some type of Flyertalk merchandise to identify ourselves to other FT'ers.

There are no prohibitions against meeting each other. In fact, I think it would be a great idea. I'm curious to see what GradGirl looks like and if it's worth the effort to single her out for secondary screening because of her eye-catching beauty. (That's a joke, GradGirl!)

By the sound of it, there are several people in this forum who would rather travel exclusively by canoe than go through the "torture" that is airport screening these days

Oh well, shorter lines for the rest of us.

Bart, if I ever visit your checkpoint you'll know it's me as soon as you lay eyes on me...

...because the instant he lays eyes on you, you'll start screaming bloody murder about how his looking at you is trampling all over your constitutional right to board a private aircraft without someone making sure you don't have a loaded Uzi in your handbag.

It would be better to meet some of the people here while working because then I will have to use constraint.

As much as you make light of it, GradGirl has some very valid points and observations, like many of us.

When I travel, I always have FlyerTalk tags on my bags, and would be happy to meet any FlyerTalker, TSA or not.

Although I would be interested in speaking with an FAM, I would not be thrilled to know that he broke his cover in order to introduce himself!
