List of sensible TSA checkpoints

I can begin the list with DAL and SLC. They both allowed me to walk through with no questions and allowed me to wear my shoes. Glad I'm not going through Portland and El Paso this trip.
Any other positive stories?

ORD checkpoints in Terminal 1, 2, 5. Can't speak for 3, but ORD is my choice for airports

Probably a bit biased....but Term A @ RDU isn't too bad (as long as you're not ssssss'd). We don't play the shoe game

I've always enjoyed security checkpoints at the smaller airports (e.g., ITO, OGG, KOA, LIH, BNA, etc). It's the larger ones that lay down the rules a bit more...

Generalizations are likely to be inaccurate because the TSA's behavior at 429 airports varies quite a bit, both from airport to airport and even within any single airport from checkpoint to checkpoint. But my experience has been that the larger airports are actually better than the smaller ones. The TSA personnel at large airports are busier and therefore less likely to do nonsensical screenings just to keep busy. And they actually know the rules pretty well, so they tend to be more predictable.

I certainly agree about ORD Terminal 1. I went through there on Tuesday in just a few minutes and had no hassle of any kind.

I definitely agree that ORD Terminal 1 is very good. I am also quite fond on LGA Concourse C. This concourse is my "home check point," and I only have a problem with one particular screener, but then again, it seems like his coworkers don't like him either, so I don't take it personally.

Agree on SNA.

Add OAK - no shoe games or multiple ID checks.

My last flight throgh SNA last month: I had to show my id 5 times in 50 feet.
The next guy would just say, "Dont put that (ID) away. I need to see it".
Very bizarre.

ABQ seems reasonable; only one ID check and no shoe carnival.

I noticed one extra ID check last time. The non-TSA checker asked for ID and BP, then TSA showed up 15 feet farther down the line, asking for BP. I was the only one in line so I just looked back at the other guy, and said, he already checked it. "I'm checking the boarding passes" was the abrupt answer I got from the TSA screener.
