TSA Screeners Slam Recertification Program
Through interviews, e-mail exchanges and documents, TSA screeners paint a picture of a testing regime that is based more on subjective criteria than TSA standard operating procedures, leading to confusion and fears that airport safety is being compromised. Most of the screeners contacted by Government Executive asked to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation:

I am not suprised one bit. When an organization does not train to one task/condition/standard it is doomed to fail. The TSA is paying people big bucks to be "trainers". I hope these "trainers" will be seriously looked at.

The TSA was not set up to stop terrorists, but just to create a false sense of security since they are government employees. However, giving the power of the the government to these people resulted in more harassment by individual FSDs implementing rules to their liking to get attention in Washington for advancement. The end result is a moronic group of people on ego trips harassing travelers with the weight of the government on their side. The solution to this nightmare is to FIRE THEM ALL.

I get the idea you hate every single person in TSA, so be it. But I'm sorry not everyone of us is on some ego trip like you like to state in what seems to be every post you make thats security related.
Most the people at my airport know were putting on a smoke and mirrors show. A lot of us are looking for new jobs, so we're stuck in the place till we get it.
I agree with you, that a lot of harrasment is being done with some of the procedures and to some extent some of the screeners on ego trips. But not everyone of us goes into work thinking "How can I piss off the PAX today?"

The bulk of TSA'ers will NEVER in their lifetime come close to a terrorist (and know it) or even come close to stopping a terrorist. The TSA is doing nothing to provide real security. The $5 Billion joke continues......

The TSA goons I've encountered and MANY comments here from self identified FT TSA'ers show that EVERYONE is considered a terrorist. Well with that attitude they will always tick off the customers. We are customers! Without the customer there is no airline or TSA!!!!!

The terrorists are also customers, most have paid for their ride. So without training for the screeners on how to identify these "customers" there isn't much we can do.
BTW, CarmelGreg my problem with Ejward2000 is that he makes lots of these comments, "moronic group of people on ego trips harassing travelers" on a lot of his post. I'm sorry, I've been pretty good while being here and been pretty upfront with you and other FF's about TSA, I don't see a reason to be insulted in every other post by this guy.
He makes no point to seperate the good from the bad, he/she just labels everyone of us a moron and being on a ego trip.
But yes I agree that TSA treating everyone like a terrorists is wrong. But it was done before 9/11 to and it's done through out the world. If your not a terrorists, why shouldn't you be allowed to have a weapon on a plane?
