Another Positive TSA Experience

Recently flew out of SDF. One ID check. Agent directing people to the lanes said they were suggesting people remove their shoes. Suggestion noted. Walked through the magnetometer while still shod. No beep, no secondary harassment. Cordial exchange between magnetometer staff and myself.

What a shame this experience is still not the norm at US airports.

Why? You don't want it to be the norm? Could you bleed a little faster then.

My response exactly when your agency is dismantled. 6,000 down, keep those cuts coming!

Actually, there will be more hired. We will start screening cargo next, and that will take more screeners to accomplish.

This makes me even sicker. The TSA should be dismantled immediately as it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to make air travel any safer than it was prior to 9/11.

Time to go speak with my congressman's staff again about doing the only American thing-- dismantling the TSA.

So lets ask a question. If we do dismantle the TSA....What happens to all those 50,000 employees, most of which have families and children. Or do you just not care?</font>
I'm sure a good chunk of that 50,000 would be retained as workers for the new private screening companies if they so wanted. The TSA may go away but screening will always be here.

OK, how about this -- fired and offered the same application for employment as someone off the street.

Speak on brother, until your face turns blue. Remember, this is the FED we're talking about.

You know guys, you kinda out yourselves when you attack Spiff for saying something kind about security nonsense.

Probably the current regime has not saved us from a single catastrophe, but I admit that it is impossible to prove a negative. The bad guys did THAT last time, next time will probably be a stinger.

But we could have saved $20 billion bucks. Eh?

Nobody attacked him. He gave a backhanded compliment which was returned in kind.
