knives/sharp tools

So, let me get this right... You cannot bring a knife (regardless of the length of the blade) through security, however once you are on the secure side, you can go to a restaurant and get a large steak knife... what to stop someone from taking it? Where's the logic in this?

and the airplanes give passengers knives, too. Keep looking, we are sure you will find some in there somewhere.

Yeah, there's the United pilot who had TSA seize a knife. A knife from the first class service on the plane he would be flying.
