Macbook Air and the TSA

I just acquired a Macbook Air, and I was wondering if I will be required to take it out of my bag for TSA screening. Since it doesn't have any moving parts, similar to an iPad, I was wondering if could keep it in my bag.

If PreCheck no computers are removed from the bag. Any clam shell computer such as a MBA needs to be removed. YMMV.

TSA says: 11" can stay in your bag, 13" must come out:

As usual, Google is your friend.

MacBook Air owner here. Always required to take it out of the bag.

Also, it does have fans, which I guess are technically considered moving parts.
