Impact of possible govt shutdown on CBP?

In the event of a government shutdown, I have read that most CBP employees will remain working. There is no statement on the CBP website as of now.

I have an appointment for my Global Entry interview on Oct 3. If there is a shutdown, can I expect this to go on as scheduled, or might it be cancelled?

I can respond to my own question. An acquaintance had his GE interview this morning, and asked about the potential shutdown.

GE interviews will proceed as scheduled.
