Global Entry Fingerprinting

Hi all,
I have my GE interview scheduled for later this week, but managed to gouge my right index finger with a pair of scissors a few of days ago. So, needless to say, my fingerprint is not in the best condition. My understanding is that CBP captures the prints of all 10 fingers during the interview, but requires only four be presented at the kiosk. The literature seems to indicate that either the right or left hand can be used (see pg. 5 of the linked PDF) but, from reading the forums, it seems like almost everyone uses the right.

Does anyone out there actually use their left hand at the kiosk? Is this something you can request at the interview?

Thanks!

Keep in mind that from a pure ease standpoint, the fingerprint reader is on the right side of the kiosk, so you'd either have to move or reach across to get them read. IT might be worth a shot of doing the right hand, and asking to schedule a "redo" later.
