GE Denial - does it affect Pre-check?

I have heard conflicting opinions on this. Technically you can be eligible for Pre-check without having GE. But if your GE application is denied (in my case, renewal denied and membership revoked) should I expect it to affect pre-check as well?

It might if you have the now invalid PassID in your profile. You should qualify for Pre-check based on your UA FF status.

I got Pre-check with UA gold before I got GE, then no longer got it once I entered the PassID to my FF profile since I was then a green card holder. Once I removed the PassID, I got it again. After updating the passport, I entered the PassID again, and get Pre-check without a hitch.

You would not have a trusted traveler number so PreCheck is out.

Not sure if it would cancel any PreCheck membership due to frequent flyer status.
