Thanks ... holding my breath for the next adventure - never a dull moment !
At least we got lucky and did he miss the blizzard on the East Coast.
On the outbound, some 2 weeks ago he got stuck at LHR for 2 days after heavy snow paralyzed this airport once again.

All the international travel coming up... you should sign up for Global Entry.
Will look into it, but really don't want him to feel/act as someone this young with special privileges

Please be realistic and look at the Figures. Less flights have been canceled in the last 2 years from LHR [A relatively compact 2 Runway Airport] Than have been canceled from the double the size JFK, due to Sandy and Nemo in the last 6 months.

Didn't have to wait long for the next gray hairs

Oh my! An expensive lesson for whoever bought the phone.

All a parent can do is realize "it could have been worse," although that thought, rather than comforting me, usually led me to worry even more about what else might happen to our teenagers.

+1

The young ones in the family who worry me the most are the ones who say "you're so paranoid, how can you live like that" when being asked to take ordinary precautions.

The source of many white hairs is the one who finally, at age 30, said (through tears of frustration and dismay) "I don't know why I always have to learn everything the hard way" (responding to most recent theft of wallet, just before flying home).

Exactly ... it can always be a lot worse.

Great indignation on his part tho, because there were witnesses who alerted him and while the police questioned the POI, no action was taken - bummer.
It could have ended much frustration on the parent-side and might have possibly changed my additional gray hairs back to normal
