Less odds of a frisk?
Hi everyone,
I've only flown twice since the bodyscanner/rubdown garbage was put into effect. One time was basically necessary due a surgery (I seriously contemplated riding in the back of an SUV for 15 hours after my surgery to avoid the TSA). Then the first time caught me off guard after a my own poor assumption that a small airport wouldn't have the body scanners. This resulted in my opt out and an unsettling rubdown that included massage of my scalp which makes me sick to this day.
Anyway, my best friend really wants to fly to NYC for a trip. I am willing to drive for obvious reasons, but she wants to fly, so I'm looking for help.
I checked on here and on TSA status and it looks like flying out of LaGuardia is basically clear with WTMD only in all lanes except one. Can anyone verify this airport has good odds of avoiding the whole naked picture taking and/or rubdown? I know a local airport with no scanners, so it would just be the trip home.
If the odds seem ok, I'll fly, but otherwise she'll have to suck it up and drive

I can't answer directly about LGA, but since nobody has answered yet I'll just say that the info on tsastatus.net is pretty accurate, in my experience. If you don't get an answer from anyone who flies through LGA on a regular basis I'd trust what you saw there.
