Hi all,
I'm having a heck of a time finding this information online or even on FT so apologies if this has been discussed previously.

I'm flying international -> YYZ -> US tomorrow and have NEXUS but I have never had my iris scan yet. I'd like to get this done in YYZ as I have a 3+ hour layover.

From what I can tell this probably needs to be done in Zone H of the departures area at YYZ. Is that true?

Is that pre or post security? Also, since I'm connecting from an international flight to the US I don't have to clear CBSA and enter Canada. How would I get to Zone H in this situation?

I'm thinking I have to clear through US CBP (with my bags) and then exit the airport, get to Zone H for my iris scan and then go back through US CBP and security. Is that right? Or is there an easier way?

Without the iris scan I'm assuming I can't use the Nexus lane at the airport upon arrival. Also true?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey.

Yeah the NEXUS office is located in T1. It's pre-security, so in order to get there after your international flight, you'll have to follow signs to Customs A, rather than US Connections. Not sure what would happen to your bags, as they will automatically be transferred to US pre-clearance area.

You cannot just clear CBP first, then exit the area to go to zone H. The pre-clearance area is a sterile area of the airport. If you want to leave the area, you must speak to an airline representative, who will escort you to CBSA.

Yes, you cannot use the Nexus lane at the airport without the iris scan.
