Newark airport screeners targeted Mexicans
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/201..._screener.html
A special unit of airport screeners, charged with detecting suspicious behavior, engaged in racial profiling so frequently at Newark Liberty International Airport that their resentful colleagues called them "Mexican hunters," according to an internal federal report.

Why are they "ex-"? Most did not leave their previous positions at the top of their professions or through normal retirement channels. Draw your own conclusions.

This is pathetic. What the eff is up with Newark?
Of course, this is great news for any real terrorists, who would revel in the opportunity to walk on by while SPOT is busy poring over the passport pages of hapless Mexicans. I would also point out that the number of planes hijacked by Mexicans is also zero.
I am guessing this problem is not just confined to Newark.

No worries, already done!
(from the OP's linked article)
In a statement, the TSA acknowledged that its policies were "overstepped," but insisted that, "eighteen months ago, TSA took immediate remedial action and retrained the entire behavior detection workforce at Newark."
