Oops. Bomb at MSP was only a drill

TSA expands their impressive opus of ineptitude.

I wonder what happens if these guys try to place a pizza order?

Look.

At least they recognized the bomb. You can't have everything, ok? Stop pressuring them!

Given that they probably learned about working for the TSA by looking at the box their pizza was delivered in, I would guess they are able to get that right 50% of the time.

TSA spokeswoman Carrie Harmon said the agency routinely conducts thousands of covert tests each year at airports across the country. Last week's test at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport ended up being a little too real because of "miscommunication" between the TSA and police, she said.

"TSA continues to review this incident but took immediate steps to ensure the correct procedures will be followed in the future," Harmon said.
Why can't TSA take steps to ensure correct procedures are followed in the first place?

Why do we have TSA when they didn't even respond? They called the cops, why not skip that step and just put cops there so they don't have to call the real guys to come save them.

Doesn't seem like we hear about many of these "tests".. I wonder if all but this one have failed...

That would require hiring both competent employees and competent trainers, which appears to be an impossibility for the TSA.

They'd never order a pizza. Pizza has sauce, which is a liquid. Therefore, pizza is not allowed.

TSA can't even teach their employees how to recognize acceptable ID, which has no impact on security, so why expect them to learn how to follow other procedures.

Poorly trained, Unprofessional, and Incompetent: WE ARE TSA!

So the really big news is that TSA finally passed a red team test. ^ I wonder if the fact the fake terrorist was carrying an ACME briefcase and wearing a coyote suit tipped them off.

Don't they have procedures in place BEFORE they do something?

Seems the TSA is ALWAYS reacting AFTER the fact.

Just more blah-blah-blah from the idiots who claim they are protecting us.
Well, I for one do NOT want them protecting me.

Wow. EPIC FAIL.

When you have a whole bunch of REAL LEOs drawing firearms, in a tense situation with fears of a terrorist attack, people can get HURT! And that's not even considering all the innocent travelers whose lives were impacted - terrorized by the scary LEO response and all the drawn weapons, schedules messed up, flights missed...

The ineptitude is on a scale that is mind-boggling. Especially when you consider that this befuddled group of people are supposed to be keeping us safe from REAL terrorists. They can't even keep us safe from THEMSELVES!
