BA chief lets fly at security checks
A little common sense from an airline executive. Where are the U.S. airline executives?

What he is saying is common sense, and I would bet that most US airlines execs agree with him (in private) but to announce it in the States would be a PR disaster.

Why? I would pay a little bit extra to fly an airline which openly complained about security. And a little bit more if they backed up the words. Am I alone?

The profiling he has suggested is racist profiling. Making it more explicit in public just doesn't sell as well for the advocates of racist profiling regardless of the claims made by the crowd advocating for such.
And who trusts TSA with being granted yet more cover -- in the form of yet more official allowances -- to hassle people with no WEIs? The TSA is already in over its head, so giving them more allowances makes no sense.
