What should I do?
Name on passport and all other ID joe. Name accidentally put on ticket, joseph. Last name is correct as is birth date and picture. 2 airlines involved. One noted it in their system that it was a mistake and that joe is on passport. Other airline wont put it in until the first airline contacts them. First airline wont contact them.
When I get to the airport will they allow me to pay to issue it in the correct name and will that name then transfer over to the second airline?
I have called many times, but they wont change it now. I just want to know that there is something I could do. My wife and I are traveling together. Would they just say NO. You cant go or would they work with me?
Im sure there are a gazillion mistakes made every day.
SO FRUSTRATED

My guess is you'll be fine. A shortened first name is much easier to understand and correct or let slide. I have a similar name to yours where I travel under my abbreviated name but my id has my full name. I would say it's a bigger issue if you went by your middle name and had that on your ticket when in reality it should have been your real first name.

Don't worry about it. Some of my IDs say have just my first and last, with others having first middle last and another having first middle initial last.. Never had any trouble..
