DHS Head Interviewed On Fox

Was flipping channels Saturday night and saw Big Sis being interviewed by Huckabee. Came in near the end and this is from admittedly not perfect memory: He was way too nice to her.

We're doing a great job on the Mexcan border. Arrests are up. Borders getting more secure. Huck mentioned a tunnel recently found, her answer, well we found it. No mention that there may be alot more we haven't found. He didn't ask her why Border Patrol Agents were ordered to shoot bean bags at armed illegals (agent was just killed doing his.) Huck mentioned job could be done better for less money. Her response was to do a better job she needs alot more money.

Huck said he travels alot and finds TSA too intrusive. She answers only a small amount of pax get resolution pat downs and there haven't been many complaints. She ignored opt outs and random pat downs. Not many complaints? She must live in a cave with no tv or internet. When four states are trying to pass legislation curbing your agency, that alone is a pretty big complaint. Best part of interview, while she is saying how the security measure are needed etc, in backround news pix were shown of woman getting breasts felt up and men and woman getting hands between legs. As time ran out Huck started mentioning hands down pants etc. , she laughed, ha ha, very funny. He asked if trusted traveler type program could be done, she did say changes were coming. He also mentioned doing security Israeli style would be better and less intrusive, she said US is too big for that, he said experts he talked said it would work fine here.

Huckabee interviewing anyone is a joke. I can't believe he is considered a serious candidate for anything.

I doubt if anyone other than Huckabee considers him a serious candidate. However I'd vote for the producer that put the pix up of pax getting sexually assaulted as she saying how everything is fine. he should have told Big Sis to turn around and look at the photos of pax getting felt up and explain why she thinks the traveling public should br treated like that.

Because everybody is a suspect. Not only people who believe in Islam. Quakers, athetists, infants, EVERYBODY is a suspect. Janet Napolitano, who knows what SHE might do if not searched? Why trust her conscience?

I just dropped off a nastygram at Fox blasting Huck for the softball interview.

I mentioned that CNN, Huff Post and MSNBC are ahead of them in terms of bringing real criticism to bear on this rogue agency. The back video with the groping was great, but Huckabee was pitiful.

I'm sure they'll ignore my complaint but maybe if they get enough email they will tighten up in future interviews.

she's probably a sought-after guest. I suspect what she would be asked and how she would be treated was negotiated in advance. she would not have shown up on his show if she thought it would be antagonistic.

I'd like to see someone a lot less DHS friendly on Fox interview her - like Shepard Smith or Neil Cavuto. Neither are big fans of TSA.

I'd buy tickets to see her interviewed by Sir David Paradine Frost. But only if he promises to go after her like he did Nixon.

Actually, I'd like PTravel to have a go at her.

That would certainly be amusing, but you do know there's a difference between an "interview" and a "cross-examination," correct?

One part I forgot to mention. At the very end Huck tried to slip in about hands down pants which went over her head. She acted as if she thought the biggest complaint was removing shoes and hoped to have a way in the future so pax could leave shoes on. I know it makes me feel better to know I can be seen naked, given unknown amounts of radiation and be sexually assulted, but I'll get to keep my shoes on. Either the people that work for her keep her protected from what is going on in the real world, she just sees things the way she wants to see them is completely nuts or maybe she just lives in an alternate univers.

They're rerunning right it now.

Never saw so much BS being spewed in my life.

Huckabee minorly challenges her on TSA, but he let Big Sis off pretty easily.

Let PTravel at her.

Anyone else get sick to their stomach when she said "wait till you see what's coming"?

saw the second half on the 11:00 rerun -- the "wait til you see what's coming" was in reply to a question about a trusted traveler program, which is better than, say, hearing that in response to a question about enhanced patdowns..

but yeah, my TV is lucky to be in one piece after ten minutes of that....

or how about Andrew Napolitano, her clear thinking cousin?
