Honestly, the only thing that has ever really irritated me during security abroad is when I cleared security/customs/immigration, purchase a bottle of water, and then when it's boarding time, they are out of sight on the jetway confiscating liquids from everyone. Of course, a regular would know to expect that, but I don't.

Next time, look out the window as the plane does the push back. You'll also see the maintenance crews waving at the plane they just served and bow a final thank you for using NRT.
