TSA @ ORD security
....gets me everytime.
Anytime I have a late flight leaving out of terminal 2, security is closed. It really wouldn't be an issue, but the train runs on 20 minute increments. Its quicker to walk outside.
I guess my beef is that TSA has an employee staffed at that location, so why not move 1 or 2 employees from terminal 1 to terminal 2 until all T2 flights have left. Again, it wouldn't be that big of an issue if there weren't 10 TSA agents working 1 lane in T1.
Of those 10 employees, 4 were actually working, and that is a stretch. The agent (hispanic with dreadlocks and tattoos up his neck) that checks the boarding pass and ID didn't say one word to me, he was too busy macking on some other airport employee. He wasn't even paying an ounce of attention to me. Never looked to see if my ID photo matched me. And after he handed me back my ID and boarding pass, I stated, "thanks for speaking to me." Evidently he didn't hear what I said because he just laughed. The agent that waves you through the detector, never indicated for me to pass through, so I decided to go on my own. She had a frown the entire time. The only agent that spoke to me was one who needed to inspect my projector. He was very nice and pleasant. The rest of the agents were just standing around and chatting, they definately were not doing any work.
I don't mean to rant, but I really wonder what TSA thinks when the come up with their decisions on staffing and hiring.
Sorry for the mumbling

Actually what better candidate for a TSA job than a criminal well versed in all aspects of pat downs, thievery, lying, abuse and disdain of the general public?
