Not at all. They are the ONLY ones making a sacrifice to TRY to preserve the fourth amendment rights of all citizens.
Apparently not even our military can defend our Constitutional rights at home, so much as I thank them for what they do do, I cannot thank them for defending our rights on our own soil. Our elected representatives have apparently taken the thirty pieces of silver to sell us out. |

TSA's really in a no-win situation today.
They've chosen to back off and let things run really smoothly - which I think was their best choice - assuming there were a bunch of travelers. But since the travelers didn't show up - letting things run smoothly is a disaster for them - it highlights the fact that nobody is flying. Now if they had taken the "hard azz" approach and backed everybody up, then the public might be angry with the opt outs, but the publicity would destroy them in the long run. Lose lose for TSA. The writing is really on the wall now. They better go to plan B. |
Really rather POINTLESS to risk all those servicepeople in wars abroad while we sell out our heritage at home. I'd say fighting to preserve these rights is what we OWE the people deployed in war zones.

It’s the purpose behind the decision that may make them into "jerks". And quite frankly I don’t care what their reasons are, I wish they would keep them to themselves. I have enough aggravation in my life, and those who decide because of a political agenda or some far-fetched theoretical reason that has no basis in fact (as so many do) are being more than “Jerks”. |
I see. So preserving the liberties for which so much blood has been spilled in so many wars is making us "jerks". Well, I'm quite sure the English had equivalent words in the 18th century. Cads. Mountebanks. Whatever. I don't think I'll let the judgment of a federal employee upset me too much when his employer is so ridiculously out of control.

If TSA is claiming victory, it is a hollow victory. ;)
