Using Airports WITHOUT Scanners
If you use airports without scanners, Do you still get the Patdown
There are 68 airports with the scanners, but there are still plenty without (REgional and Secondary Airports)
Some Secondary airports WITHOUT Scanners
Long Island MacArthur
Chicago Midway
Long Beach, CA Airport

My home airport, MCI, has just one scanner that I am aware of, and every time I've been through that security checkpoint I have been able to avoid it by simply choosing to go through the line on the right instead of the one on the left with the scanner.

If I fly out of MacArthur (Long Island), trying to figure out how to get to Florida without the Scanner or pat down
It seems the only airports in Florida without the scanner is Fort Myers and panama city and there arent direct flights from MacArfthur to them

At BWI C Gates this morning, there are no WBIs only WTMD, and women and men who set off the alarm were given a standard pat down (as reported by my husband when we watched). However, before this morning, I was reading reports that enhanced pat downs were given for WTMD alarms at other airports. It's possible that BWI C Gate has not went to the new procedures, or loosened them for the holiday travel. There's just not a definitive way to know for sure, and why I didn't fly today, even though I would've been ok, I think.

I wouldn't assume that no NoS = No Enhanced Pat Down based on the stories of some folks who go through the WTMD being selected at random, or the machine being set to alarm at random to select folks for pat down.
As far as I'm concerned, they could remove every NoS tomorrow, and there would still be the issue of the "grope and hope".
